Still Only Black and White...

They still won't let me use color... but I its probably better. Color will only complicate the learning process. So now we move into asymmetry, texture, movement and depth (my favorite - I love shading).

My First Graphics Project...

So now I want to be a graphic designer ...actually for awhile I have been wanting to explore the digital arts, but NOW I finally am taking classes for it and learning some cool techniques. I am loving it. My first somewhat technical project was creating a magazine cover... here is what I put together. Even if it is the worst thing ever, I am SO happy... I am finally getting there!!!

Then of course there were a few Photoshop experiments. So I cross utilized a self portrait photography study I did a couple of months ago, back in June. Here are my chosen interpretations...

More stuff from years past...

The first two are from my second year in college.

These two are further back from Senior year of high school.

Slightly later...

Here are a few still life drawings, also very early pieces... these were done in very sharp point pencil and charcoal. I most enjoyed the female nude on gray background. Normally I struggle to find the mid-level light in my creations... I have a tendency to create to drastic a difference between shadow and non-shadow coloring. With this media and material, the mid-level light is already created for you. This is something I want to continue to explore in the future.

Early Interpretations...

Some very early pieces. I was dabbling in the monochromatic style and the effects of color blending.
